My dissertation research is focused on the role of social factors in hypertension. Specifically, we are investigating disparities in both blood pressure trajectories throughout midlife, as well the treatment of hypertension, in relation to factors such as educational attainment. We are also incorporating clinical trial data to evaluate whether these factors may influence the cardiovascular benefit from blood pressure reduction.
