Research Interests
My research focuses on how breast cancer spreads and sometimes lies dormant before returning years later. I study how tumor cells evolve and adapt in new environments, and why some remain inactive while others grow aggressively. To answer these questions, I use advanced genomic tools such as spatial transcriptomics and single-cell sequencing, together with patient-derived organoid models, to uncover weak points in cancer’s evolution that could lead to better treatments for advanced disease.
